Richardson Chery
Richardson (Levi) was born in Fort Dimanche in Cite Solei, the most poverty-stricken areas in Haiti. Levi and his family were living in a cardboard shack with garbage and sewage water running everywhere. His mom was a teenager with a deformed leg, which was an impediment. Levi and his sister were spotted during a feeding in Cite Soleil. He was severely malnourished and feverish. His fever reached 103- degrees. He and his sister were immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. Levi remained in the hospital for several months before being released. Mom realized she was unable to care for her children and decided to place them into the care of the Children’s Home. Now Levi is in kindergarten learning his alphabet. He is a happy and healthy kid.
